They are both booked in the Jefferson County Jail.

The two were put in custody after a situation involving a gun unfolded in Steubenville.

"Officers were called to the 400 block of Maxwell Avenue for a report of a man pulling a pistol on another man,” said Steubenville Police Captain Joe Buchmelter. “Officers arrived, conducted an investigation, identified a victim, witnesses and a suspect. "

Witnesses told NEWS9 when the police showed up, that suspect fled. They also said they believe it had to do with some sort of domestic dispute.

"The suspect actually arrived back to the scene, officers spoke to him and moved to take him into custody at which time he resisted,” Buchmelter said. “A taser had to be deployed, and he was then taken into custody."

The incident resulted in the injuries of two officers.

“During that struggle, two officers were injured,” Buchmelter said. “One received minor injuries and will be fine, the other officer, we don’t know the extent of his injuries yet."
