A Wheeling man is wanted for allegedly holding a cashier at knifepoint and demanding cash.

Robert “Bobby” Bertrand, 41, is wanted for the armed robbery that took place at the Family Dollar store on Chapline Street.

Police say Bertrand walked into the store Sunday night, just after 8:30, and stole money from the cash register.

"We were able to talk to the employee (held at knifepoint), others in the store, and surveillance video in the area. And so based off of all that, we are confident he is who we are looking for. He will be charged with armed robbery once arrested,” said Philip Stahl, public information officer, Wheeling Police.
