St. Clairsville welcomes downtown Christmas tree

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown St. Clairsville.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown St. Clairsville.

Thursday morning, the tree made the journey from a St. Clairsville resident's home to the front of the Belmont County Courthouse.

The tree is much larger than years past and was donated by a local man who happened to have it in his yard.

"It was in our yard,” said Steve Fabry. “They approached us a little over a week ago and asked about it and I thought if it could bring some joy to the town, absolutely."

The tree will be lit after the Christmas Parade on Sunday, Nov. 18.
