Rumors concerning WVDOT having no salt addressed
NEWS9 IS EVERYWHERE —
Rumors circulating concerning the West Virginia Department of Transportation being without salt are not true, according to representatives with the Department of Transportation.
They said they have been working overtime to keep up with the roads and have had some challenges with unloading salt from their vendors because of high water on the Ohio River, but they do still have salt and are replenishing their supply now.
Because of the freezing rain, ice and snow, they have used a lot of salt, which currently isn’t an issue for them.
