Robinson special bike donation
OHIO COUNTY, W. Va. —
Children with special needs benefited from a unique program that offers special bikes, strollers and computers on Thursday.
Robinson Auto Group at The Highlands in Ohio County is now searching to give another special bike to a child in West Virginia.
Thursday, two bikes were given out by Variety the Children's Charity. The bikes help kids with disabilities and run around $2,000 each.
Walker Auten from Hancock County was excited for his new blue bike that he was recently fitted for in Morgantown.
“It's part of what we do,” said Bob Robinson from Robinson Automotive Group. “We are all about kids and the valley knows this. It's Christmas time and people are getting gifts.”
Robinson says he found out about the Variety program through his work with the Miracle League.
The program also provides voice computers for nonverbal children and strollers for special needs toddlers.
