HANCOCK COUNTY, W.Va. — Leadership Ohio Valley held an educational session on Thursday at the John D. Rockefeller Career Center.
Members of the group took a take a tour of the facility and visited the different classrooms and workrooms where students demonstrated their trade skills.
Their hope is to showcase the courses being taught at the career center and highlight its importance to the Ohio Valley.
"A trade is a good option and is very much-needed, and without them, we would not be able to run as a community, cities, any type of business,” said Deann Pulliam of Ohio Valley Leadership. “They are very important jobs, and we are hoping to highlight the importance of the trades, that there are those different options."
The educational session will be followed by a history a culture session in April.
