The Weirton Area Museum unveiled a new sculpture in anticipation of this weekend's Gate 5 Industrial Art Festival.

People gathered to look at industrial art, photography and the plans for next year’s festival, including a mural.

The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the sculpture for next year’s festival that will include thousands of Weirton Steel Mill badges.

"Our finished pieces will be made out of stainless steel, and we are showing actually what this penny size is,” said artist Jeffrey Forster. “It’s actually scale of what a badge from Weirton Steel would look like.”

If you want to see some of the art that was displayed at Thursday night's event, you can head over to the Gate 5 Festival on Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. in Weirton.
