Franciscan will release information from report on sexual abuse allegations
STEUBENVILLE, Ohio —
Franciscan University said Thursday it will release information from a report about sexual abuse allegations in the coming weeks.
A law firm specializing in sexual abuse and Title IX compliance reported to the university trustees Saturday.
The university said the board will release additional information before its April meeting.
The trustees are determining what can be made public from the report.
University President Father Sean Sheridan said a Student Advocate Office has been created, and additional resources are being allocated for investigations.
