Council enters agreement to fight speeding in Bellaire
BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio —
Traffic cameras are coming to Bellaire. Thursday night, Bellaire council voted to enter into an agreement with Blue Line Solutions.
Police will soon use handheld laser radar guns with cameras mounted to them.
Speeders will receive a citation in the mail, with directions how to pay the ticket or contest it.
Tickets will be $100 for speeding, and $150 for speeding through a construction zone.
Police officers will be trained with the equipment and the radar will go into use within the next two weeks.
