Brunch bill on the ballot in Ohio County
OHIO COUNTY, W.Va —
A big item on the ballot that effects voters in Ohio County, the "Brunch bill."
Although the City of Wheeling passed a bill of their own, the county is hoping voters will turn out and vote "yes," as well.
This bill will effect restaurants and bars at the Highlands and around Ohio County.
The bill is said to generate $20 million statewide and enhances tourism.
Some say it will also create jobs and make West Virginia competitive with neighboring states.
“The Brunch bill is strictly for establishments with a class-A liquor license and hopefully it will help them approve the economy to some degree," said Ohio County Commission President Tim McCormick.
Again the Brunch bill on the ballot tomorrow will cover all of Ohio County.
