Big Red grad talks about ‘411 Foundation’
STEUBENVILLE, Ohio —
Sean Patterson graduated from Big Red in 1990, and he never imaged walking the halls and talking to current students.
But that dream came true Friday.
Patterson came back to talk about his "411 Foundation" that he started in 2010.
The foundation was started to honor Patterson's dad, who passed away when he was 12 years old.
They help people with independent living skills, health and wellness, and financial independence.
They also work with the homeless and do school drives -- anything to make the community better.
"My inspiration was really my dad, you know, losing him at 12 years old but knowing he did a lot of good things in the community,” Patterson said. “I really wanted to honor him by giving back to the community whether it be Steubenville or wherever I was living I really wanted to do something to show what kind of man he was."
If you would like to help in any way, you can reach Patterson through social media or send him an email.
