Another Jamboree in the Hills is in the books.

Was it a success?

It featured several local bands like Township Road and Joe Zelek, up-and-coming artists like Ashley McBryde and Lazy Jane, and then the legends of country music like Lee Greenwood and Sammy Kershaw.

"It's been an amazing week,” said Kelly Tucker-Jones, general manager of JITH. “I mean unbelievable. Of course, a little bit of bad weather, but it didn't bring anyone's spirits down."

She said the turnout was high overall.

"Friday night is always our biggest night, although Saturday was a huge crowd as well, so really two amazing nights," she said.

Jambo Glam, air-conditioned tents with several added amenities, were added this year.

"Me and my friend are not campers, so we wanted to get something that had a pretty decent set-up," said Jeanette Riccione.

So she tried Jambo Glam for her first trip to Jamboree in the Hills.

"First few days we had a hard time making it in because we had too much fun in here with everybody else," Riccione said.

"They supply you with a grill, coffee and cookies in the morning so that's pretty cool. Yeah we really enjoyed it. We'll probably come back next year. "

But will Jambo Glam?

"Everyone who was in that area loved it, so you can see that probably coming back here in the future," Tucker Jones said.

Live Nation says it is already looking forward to next year and making plans for Jamboree in the Hills 2018.
