American Legion Post 90 is teaming up with the Dollar General in Morristown to collect toys for children this holiday season.

"We know that there is a lot of children this time of year who are doing without,” said Brice Miller of Post 90.

Miller is hoping for a successful second year of the Christmas toy drive with Dollar General.

"We're looking for any toy K-5 – Kindergarten through 5th grade for boys or girls," he said.

A few baby dolls and toy trucks have been collected. There is a donation box at the entrance of the store, and they are also accepting monetary donations that will be used to buy more toys.

"We'll get a lot of toys donated for the young kids, and so probably for the 4th and 5th graders, we'll be buying toys for them," Miller said.

The toys will be given to Union Local Elementary School students, making their holiday a little brighter.

"We're very grateful for Dollar General to do this with us, and they are a good partner in this endeavor," Miller said.

Toys need to be collected by Dec. 15 so they can distribute them.
