Ohio Valley musician asks for community's help

An Ohio Valley native is ready to make it to the top, one verse at a time. Matt VanFossen is getting ready to record a full-length album, and you can be a part of his project.

VanFossen created a Kickstarter page for fans to be a part of his dream right from the beginning. VanFossen says he needs your support to create the album and a music video for the lead single. He is hoping for a radio tour to promote his new songs.

"This has been something that I've wanted to do since I was a child. The Ohio Valley has been so incredible to me, from my choir teacher yelling at me, to the acceptance and love I've gotten over the years," VanFossen said.

The St. Clairsville native has come a long way. He's played at Jamboree in the Hills twice and in Nashville.

This project will only be funded if at least $20,000 is pledged by Monday, May 30 at 11:20 pm.
