Holt officially stepping down as Cameron football coach

There will be a new head coach leading the Cameron football program next season.

Scott Holt tells NEWS9 that he turned in his resignation as Dragons head coach today, looking to step back from coaching at this time to spend more time with his family.

Holt's Dragons are coming off a second undefeated regular season in the past 3 years. They won the OVAC 1A title in 2017 and 2018, this past season also winning a home playoff game.

He posted a 37-17 record in five seasons as Dragons' head coach, following three years there as an assistant. Holt has also served three years at St. John Central head coach, and prior to that was an assistant at Wheeling Central from 1999-2005.
