Hall of fame coach Gene Ford has passed away at age 67. Ford won 400 games during 25 years Cambridge's head coach, making five state tournament appearances. His 1994-95 team was Ohio Division II state runner-up.

“Gene was a wonderful friend. He and I grew up playing Little League together, playing basketball together and all that. Then when my dad changed schools, we played against each other. We had a great relationship. Gene was a great competitor and a great person.”

A celebration of life for Gene Ford is scheduled to take place Saturday, July 6th from 10 a.m. to noon inside the Gene Ford Gymnasium at Cambridge High School.
