‘Coats for Kids’ gives to Steubenville Salvation Army

The snowfall and frigid temperatures served as reminder that winter is far from over and WTOV9 wants to make sure kids around the Ohio Valley have a warm coat this winter.

On Thursday, WTOV9’s Bill Phillips presented a check for nearly $1,000 to Captain Steven Griffin of the Steubenville Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army will make sure as many children as possible receive a warm coat.

“There are a lot of people in this community that care, especially with the economic situation in the community that they are still willing to donate to the Coats for Kids program to help it be a viable program, not only for this Salvation Army, but all the other agencies that do the Coats for Kids program," Captain Steven Griffin said.

If you would like to help, mail your donations to: WTOV9 ‘Coats for Kids’, PO Box 9999, Steubenville, OH 43952.

You can make checks payable to the Sinclair Relief Fund with ‘Coats for Kids’ in the memo line.
