Former Linsly Standout Looking To Catch On With Steelers

Former Linsly multi-sport standout C.J. Goodwin has earned an opportunity to compete a roster spot with the Pittsburgh Steelers.


Goodwin, an undrafted rookie free agent wide receiver, is expected to join the Steelers for their organized team practice activities on a tryout basis at the team's practice facility.


The Steelers' are currently in their second week of OTA's. They conclude June 12th and are followed by a three day mini-camp on June 17-19.


Goodwin played NCAA college football at a pair of Division II schools.
Last season he caught 11 passes for 126 yards and one touchdown at California (Pa.).


Prior to Cal (Pa.), Goodwin played at Fairmont State. He caught 24 passes for 440 yards, leading the team with 18.3 yards per catch. Goodwin collected four touchdown passes during that 2012 season, including an 83 yard game-winning touchdown reception against West Liberty.
