Wheeling police identify suspect in shooting



Michael Johnson, 27, was arrested Monday afternoon in connection to Friday morning's shooting in Wheeling.

He was arraigned at 3:30 p.m. by magistrate Joe Roxby. Johnson is charged with aiding and abetting. He is being held without bond until he sees a circuit court judge.


WHEELING, W.Va. - Detectives with the Wheeling Police Department have obtained warrants for a suspect in the murder of Lemroy Coleman early Friday morning.

Police are looking for 26-year-old Dallas Michael Acoff. Acoff has recently carried a Wheeling address but is from Cleveland. He's wanted for murder.

Wheeling Police Chief Shawn Schwertfeger says the investigation remains active and additional charges may be forthcoming.
