The Wheeling man arrested in connection with a shooting near the Circle-K gas station in Bellaire last September pleaded guilty to the crime in court on Tuesday.

It's believed the incident was a drug-related dispute over money when 23-year-old Shaheim Price fired off two rounds, grazing another person at the scene.

Price wasn't arrested until several weeks later when he was picked up by Wheeling police on a warrant in mid-October.

Belmont County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Kevin Flanagan said a gun was found up under the passenger seat. That was relevant, he said, because in this particular case, two shell casings were found and recovered by an officer with the Bellaire PD. Experts determined the casings match the gun found under Price's seat.

Price entered an Alford Plea of guilt to one count of felonious assault, and remains in bars without bond.

He will be sentenced later in January.
