A Wheeling man is facing charges after he allegedly stole from a church. According to West Virginia State Police, Dylan Biggs, 18, is charged with grand larceny after approximately $1,900 was stolen from The Vineyard Church.

The money was collected from parishioners two Sundays ago.

Reports indicate the church holds its Sunday services at Marquee Cinema because of a large crowd. At the June 5 service, they collected more than $2,400, but that's when the money went missing.

Officers say Biggs can be seen taking the bank bag, and when police asked him about the money they say he admitted to stealing the cash and checks to buy drugs. Biggs was identified by church leaders.

Biggs was arraigned by Ohio County Magistrate Joe Roxby. He is in the Northern Regional jail on a $5,000 cash-only bond. Police say he was on probation for another incident.

He's also accused of possessing a deadly weapon and possessing drugs.
