The annual summer concert series in Toronto begins next week, and they're expanding the lineup.

Last year, there were five concerts at the Gem City's gazebo; this year it's been upped to nine thanks to several community sponsors.

There's also a bonus classic movie night planned for Sept. 29.

Organizers say the first act is one you won't want to miss -- the 40-piece tri-state community concert band.

“It’s ironic the first act that plays the gazebo concert series won't be able to play in the gazebo but that's a big band with a big sound," said Jon Greiner, event organizer. “They have a fella playing the base drum who's 98 years old -- Anthony Violi -- he's terrific. He's been involved with the community for many, many years. He's the former director of the Steubenville High School band; it's worth coming out just to see him.”

The first concert is at from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4.

The concerts will never be postponed due to weather. If it rains, the show will move to the church next door.
