Structure fire breaks out in Harrison County
HARRISON COUNTY, Ohio —
A fire broke out in Annapolis, leaving a trailer a total loss.
Two people were inside at the time, but were able to make it out safely.
East Springfield VFD Fire Chief Steve Harris said the fire was difficult to put out because of how far away the nearest hydrant was.
"Upon first arrival on scene, it was fully involved,” Chief Harris said. “There's not very many hydrants out this way, actually there's no hydrants on this road at all. The closest hydrant from us is about three miles away. So we had to shuffle water."
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
