Sen. Capito visits Follansbee to hear from constituents

U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) paid a visit to the Northern Panhandle Wednesday afternoon.

She met with local officials and business leaders in the Follansbee city council chambers. Capito addressed a number of topics ranging from the flood last year to state and federal items such as health care and foreign relations.

Speaking after the event, she said it's important to keep constituents informed about what's going on in Washington.

“So it's always good for me to hear from folks, not just office holders, but local citizens on what the issues are, so I can take them back to Washington and try to help look for solutions,” Capito said.

Capito spoke to the group for nearly an hour and was open to questions.
