Prosecutor’s office holding benefit for crime victims

Victims of crime don't always have the help they need, but the Ohio County Prosecutor's Office is hoping to change that.

They are holding a fundraiser to benefit victims in need after an incident. The steak fry dinner is Friday and tickets are on sale now.

“We work with victims of crime in Ohio County and what we do with the fund is help with rent, funeral expenses, property damage,” said Shelly Ernest, victim coordinator for the Ohio County Prosecutor’s Office. “They may not have the means, so we step in with help from the fund.

The dinner is tomorrow from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Elm Grove Civics.

Tickets will be available at the door, but you can also contact Ernest at the Ohio County Prosecutor's Office. You can also purchase raffle tickets or donate by calling.
