UPDATE: Officials release identity of body pulled from river

Crews across the Ohio Valley are searching for a man who reportedly went missing sometime after 8 o'clock Tuesday night near the Steubenville Marina.

Officials confirm the name of the male victim who was pulled from the Ohio River near the Steubenville Marina on Wednesday afternoon is 41-year-old Michael Ziarko of Steubenville.

His body was located about 1 mile south of the Marina around Noon on Wednesday.

Crews across the Ohio Valley are searching for a man who reportedly went missing sometime after 8 o'clock Tuesday night near the Steubenville Marina.

Multiple crews have scoured the Ohio River in the area of the marina, with no luck finding him.

The woman who was with the man said they were walking along the water when he lost his balance and fell into the water.

When she realized she wasn't going to be able to help him by herself, she told him to swim to the edge and left to get help.

Once she got back she wasn't able to find him.

The search was called off around 1:30 a.m., and resumed at 9 a.m. Several departments are on scene from several different areas, including Weirton, Brooke County, Jefferson County, and Steubenville.

The man’s identity has not been released.
