Meth bust suspects arraigned in Jefferson County
Aaron Korbel was one of five arraigned for their alleged involvement with a meth lab operation based in Toronto and Steubenville on April 2.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio —
Grand jury arraignments were held in Jefferson County on Thursday morning after indictments were handed down.
There were several cases, including five of the six involved in a drug bust in Toronto, in front of Common Pleas Judge Michelle Miller.
Brandon Garrison
Garrison is charged with improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle and having weapons while under disability.
The incident happened on March 6 in Steubenville. His bond was continued at $250,000.
Aaron Korbel, Eric Hartline, Christopher Reid, Kenneth Tucker, and James Thomas Purkey.
All were arraigned for their alleged involvement with a meth lab operation based in Toronto and Steubenville on April 2.
Korbell’s attorney asked for his bond to be reduced, but the state argued otherwise saying he's a risk to the community. His bond was continued at $500,000.
Hartline, Tucker, and Reid’s bond was set at $500,000 each.
Purkey’s bond was set at $250,000.
All of these cases have been assigned to Judge Miller.
