Man sentenced to jail time for drug trafficking
HARRISON COUNTY, Ohio —
Weslee Ashford learned his sentence for drug trafficking in Harrison County Tuesday.
Ashford was arrested in November 2017 after authorities found him in possession of 30 grams of cocaine, a handgun and $3,700 in cash.
Ashford did not have a prior criminal record, which the judge took into consideration before sentencing him to four years in prison.
Prosecuting Attorney Owen Beetham said this is one of the most significant drug cases he's prosecuted in years.
