Five new members inducted into the Lou Holtz Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio —
Five new members are officially inducted into the Lou Holtz Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame.
This is the 19th year for the Hall of Fame.
It was a packed house at St. Florian Hall in Wintersville as those who were inducted were recognized.
This year's inductees include: Peggy Miller Bahnsen, Paul Carapellotti, Frank Chan and Carl "Pop" Werner.
NFL Hall of Famer, Franco Harris was the recipient of the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award.
The MVP Award was given to the “Dreaming of Three Organization,” a non-profit dedicated to charitable fundraising.
Paul Carapelloti, 2017 inductee said, “I just feel blessed to be from this Valley and have the opportunity to do some things that give back."
“And they say Frank, you're going to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in your hometown, that is really something special," said inductee, Frank Chen.
Peggy Miller Bahnsen said, “I couldn't be more honored to be here with these folks."
“We had so many people help us all, we're trying to do is help some of the younger people here. We could never repay this area enough,” Lou Holtz said.
