The trail for 31-year-old David Kinney, who's facing charges of murder and aggravated murder in the May 2017 homicide of Brad McGarry in West Bellaire, continued Friday.

Detective Sgt. Ryan Allar was called to the stand next to speak on his role in the investigation from the time he arrived at the homicide scene in Bellaire on May 7, 2017 to his initial findings at the Waggoner Avenue home.

Allar also described a brief interaction with Kinney that night.

"He went to leave and then rolled down his window and motioned me over. Stuck his hand out the window and he took my hand and he kind of pulled me close to him, squeezed my hand, looked me right in the eye and he said, 'please find out who killed my friend. He's the best friend I had in the world, please find out who killed my friend.' and I told him I'd do anything I could to make that happen," Aller said.

The jury also viewed the interview video of Kinney that was recorded 2 days after the killing at the Belmont County Sheriff's Office.

The state is expected to continue presenting witnesses for its side of the case through Friday and into Saturday.

Kinney's defense will likely begin calling its witnesses Saturday afternoon.

The trial will continue through early next week.

Kinney is expected to take the stand at some point.
