Ohio County commissioners transferred $225,000 from the hotel-motel tax to help pay some bills coming in on some of the design work for the proposed sports complex at The Highlands on Thursday.

Ohio County commissioners transferred $225,000 from the hotel-motel tax to help pay some bills coming in on some of the design work for the proposed sports complex at The Highlands on Thursday.

The athletic complex is set to be constructed behind the Marquee Cinemas.

"Once the bonds get sold, the bond monies will replace the money that we took from hotel-motel," Ohio County Commissioner Tim McCormick said.

Commissioners hope to have indoor ball fields, basketball and tennis courts, climbing walls and even outdoor fields.
