Changing weather causes trouble for drivers, crews alike

In Jefferson County, the morning started with freezing rain that quickly turned to snow as roadways and sidewalks were blanketed by 2 inches in less than 2 hours.

Weather in the Ohio has caused some trouble for drivers and crews all of Wednesday morning.

The amount of change seen throughout the day is almost hard to believe.

In Jefferson County, the morning started with freezing rain that quickly turned to snow as roadways and sidewalks were blanketed by 2 inches in less than 2 hours.

Then back to freezing rain. Then snow.

Crews have been out throughout the Valley working to clear the roads.

In Steubenville, garbage collection was canceled so that those crews could help in plowing the roads, putting salt down, and trying to get roads as passable as possible.

Crews will pick up Wednesday's garbage on Thursday. And, on Friday, they'll pick up Thursday's and Fridays.
