Businesses see influx of customers during NCAA tournament

With the NCAA men’s basketball tournament in full swing, Ohio Valley restaurants and bars have been reaping the benefits of the annual madness.

“We have been really busy. The bar has really been booming," said Barbara Ford, a hostess at Undo’s Sports Bar in Weirton.

With brackets tacked up to the walls of bars across the Ohio valley,

bars on both sides of the river are booming with basketball fans.

”We have 11 TV’s. We can accommodate anybody that wants to see a different kind of game," said Ford.

Not only has business picked up since the games started, but Ford says they also saw a nice crowd of people celebrating St. Patrick's day.

“We've had the sports bar for a couple years now, and like I said, we have a lot more business with our bar turned it over into sports so it's doing really well."

Another bar packed with people was The Spot Bar in downtown Steubenville.

Glasses were filled and eyes were glued to the screens Sunday, as patrons were rooting for their teams and a successful bracket.

No matter who wins, businesses across the valley are taking home the "W."
