Arrest made after police say they pulled over intoxicated driver and find drugs, cash

A routine traffic stop on Route 2 and 10th Street Thursday morning in Marshall County resulted in a huge discovery for police.

A routine traffic stop on Route 2 and 10th Street Thursday morning in Marshall County resulted in a huge discovery for police.

They discovered a briefcase full of drugs, cash and other paraphernalia.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department said they pulled over a man who was driving drunk before noon Thursday and made the discovery.

They also found a large amount of heroin, methamphetamines and more, as well as more than $28,000 in cash.

Brian Johnson of Sistersville is now charged with DUI and possession with intent to deliver.

The Sheriff's Department said more charges are pending.

Johnson is being held in the Northern Regional Jail without bond.
