STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- Students from Wells Academy chanted "no more cancer" while making their way around the Steubenville high school track on Tuesday morning in an annual Mini Walk-a-thon.
The theme this year? "I relay. What's your super power?"
This is the third year students from Wells have participated in the event, which is held to raise awareness for cancer and raise money for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
Students in 1st through 4th grade walked the track. Seventeen schools in the area are participating. Last year all together, students raised $40,000.
Totals aren't in yet for this year but last year Wells Academy alone raised $2,000.
