Wanted suspect Jackson indicted

Updated: Thursday, July 3 2014, 10:19 AM EDT

STUEBENVILLE, Ohio-- Five people were indicted by the grand jury in Jefferson County Wednesday, but one of them isn’t even in custody yet.
Officials say just because Tajh Jackson is still on the run, it doesn’t mean he can’t be charged.

Officials say they need your help in finding the man they say is the primarily suspect in a shooting back in June.
That’s when one man was shot multiple times but survived and father and his  5-year-old son,  was at the wrong place at the wrong time were also injured during the violent altercation.

“We’ve had some leads, we just need any help to get him back into custody” Jefferson County  prosecutor Jane Hanlin says.

Jackson is facing three charges, two of them for felonious assault.

“We took this case straight to the grand jury because we had enough information through the investigation to do so. We are very concerned the little boy is exactly the kind of violence we fear, a  stray bullet hitting a kid and now it’s happened.” Hanlin says.

Investigators say Jackson is no stranger to the law either. According to Halin he’s had previous felony and drug arrest. “You have to think that this crime happened at 10 a.m. He could have killed any of them.” Halin says

Now investigator still need your help. They say Jackson is armed and dangerous. If you have any information about him or his whereabouts you are asked to contact the police or our Crimebust Tipline at 1-800-862-BUST.
