JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio--

For the last six months, Mingo Junction police have been plagued with a number of break-ins at bars, restaurants and markets throughout the village.

However, police say they finally have their suspect in custody, and he is a juvenile.

The suspect was arrested by juvenile probation in Steubenville in recent days, and is now facing multiple felony charges.

“The investigation is continuing.  Possible accessories to some of the break-ins and others can possibly be charged,” Lt. Chris Taylor said.

The suspect is connected to break-ins at businesses like Hillsboro Tavern, The Avalon, Route 22 Pizza and Town House Tavern.

In addition to keeping police on their toes, Taylor said the suspect has been wreaking havoc on small business owners.

"They don't recoup that loss.  They lose the money, equipment, windows, doors, anything they have to put in to fixing it.  Anything that goes into a local business,” Taylor said.
