July 4th celebration to benefit Wounded Warriors Project

MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va.--

The first annual American Hero Appreciation Day will be held on July 4 at Grand Vue Park in Moundsville.

A portion of the proceeds from that day will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

Free zip line rides will be available for active military and veterans. The public will be offered discounted zip line rides.

Park passes will be available for $9.99 and they include the Par 3 golf course, mini-golf, swimming, ice skating disc golf and the walking trails.

A chicken roast will be held featuring Mason Dixon BBQ from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Here is a schedule of events:
9:30 a.m. National Anthem by Miss West Virginia Paige Madden
10 a.m. Flag Hunt with over $2,100 free in prizes
(Must pre register for flag hunt at Zip Line Basecamp)
11 a.m. until 2 p.m. live music by local artist Zeke Blake
11 a.m. until 5 p.m. chicken roast featuring Mason Dixon BBQ
