JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio -- A slew of grand jury arraignments were handed down Wednesday morning in a Jefferson County Court.
Michael Hawthorne, who is connected to more than two dozen crimes, including burglaries in Belvedere and a robbery in Steubenville, was among them. He faces two charges, including one count of receiving stolen property. Hawthorne was also indicted in Harrison County last month as investigators said he was responsible for crashing a vehicle into Woods Food Center in Hopedale in April. In that case, Hawthorne was charged with two felonies, both for breaking and entering.
Charles L. Zonker Jr. was also in court. He faces aggravated robbery, theft and felonious assault charges. He was booked in May.
Also Tajh Jackson did not appear in court, as officials haven't been able to find him. He is accused of opening fire, hitting a man multiple times, and injuring a father and his 5-year-old son in the process. This happened outside the Heritage Place Apartments in early June. He's been indicted on two felonious assault charges.
