TORONTO, Ohio – A crew doing some work near the attic using a blowtorch near a rubberlike substance is believed to be what caused a fire at the Goucher Haunted Hotel on Tuesday.
It started around 3:30 p.m.
Within an hour, the fire had been knocked down, but crews were expected to be on scene for another hour despite fighting fatigue due to the heat.
No one was injured. As far as damage, it's hard to determine but we're told crews did use a substantial amount of water.
