STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- The Ohio Means Jobs Jefferson County Office just hit a major roadblock after the organization recently lost two major federally funded training programs for CDL drivers.
One training program that is fully funded is all that's left, but with that comes a long waiting list of people who want CDL training.
There are currently 7,000 CDL driving jobs throughout Ohio.
Major trucking companies are competing with the gas and oil companies who offer a higher pay.
It's unclear if or when the training programs will get more funding to meet the high demand of jobs.
