WHEELING, W.Va. --

Wheeling Park High School is stepping up to raise funds for a local organization that helps cancer victims cope with their feelings.

Michael's Meanies was started by 16-year-old Michael Carroll, who is taking his experience with cancer and helping others going through similar situations.

Carroll created clay prototypes and uses them as stress toys. Carroll said it helps with the frustrations and anger that come with having a medical condition.

Monday night, some of the proceeds from Wheeling Park's hockey game will go to the organization. In addition, the school's Feb. 7 basketball game will help the cause.

Carroll is currently in treatment battling a brain tumor.
