Neighbors in Marshall County, W.Va say they're one edge after a natural gas pipeline ruptured Saturday morning.

Frank Elza, Jr., said it looked like a huge ball of flames.

"I could feel the heat from that flame it was 40-50 foot long and it was burning the top of the trees," said Elza.

Elza says didn't know whether he and his family were in danger-- or what had happened.

He added that cellphones don't work in that part of the county-- about 4-5 miles out on Middle Grave Creek Road.

Elza says his family packed up the car and left as soon as they saw the huge flames.

"I was worried because I know there are two lines that are up over the hill and I didn't know if they'd explode too," said Elza. "Then on the other side of the house is a large propane tank so I evacuated -- it was scary and the heat was unreal."

Neighbors weren't able to return home until Sunday.

"We stayed at my mother-in-law's home because we have dogs," said Elza. "Williams Energy kept us informed and worked on the problem all weekend."

No one was injured Saturday, but Elza says he still has some doubts about where he is living being surrounded by well pads.

"You know I have been here a decade, but I do I worry something could happen," said Elza.

Emergency responders say they believe a landslide may have caused the line to rupture
