UPDATE: Escaped inmate back in custody

GUERNSEY COUNTY, Ohio - Budd Allen Cobb has been captured by authorities in Guernsey County after escaping from the Guernsey County Jail Saturday morning.

Cobb was located off of Byesville Road in east Cambridge and was immediately taken in custody by deputies and Cambridge Police Officers.

Authorities in Guernsey County are searching for an inmate that escaped from the Guernsey County Jail on Saturday morning.

Budd Allen Cobb, 35, a suspected robber and arsonist, escaped custody just after 9 a.m. and fled east toward Woodlawn Avenue.

Cobb is 6 feet tall, 190 pounds with short, brown hair and hazel eyes. He has many visible tattoos on his face and neck, and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, gray sweatpants and white tennis shoes.

Cobb, who has been charged with robbery and aggravated arson, is considered dangerous.

Police are advising all those in the area to lock their cars and homes until he is returned to custody.
