Updated: Tuesday, July 22 2014, 08:25 AM EDT

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio-- In Jefferson County, investigators were busy with a crime spree that spans from Weirton to Steubenville Monday night.

Officials say it all began around 7 p.m., when in the middle of the crime spree  there was an armed robbery at the Hallmark at the Hollywood City Center in Steubenville.
Investigators aren't saying too much about the incident, but officials with the Steubenville Police Department did say there were no injuries.

Sources also tell NEWS9 investigators were also scouring an area in the hilltops looking for a knife. It's unclear if that was the same weapon used in the crime.

A vehicle  allegedly triggered the events. There has been no official word, but sources say the  Jeep was stolen from Weirton. The vehicle itself was involved in a pursuit that ended when the driver ditched the vehicle and fled on foot.

Jonathan Smith is charged with aggravated robbery, resisting arrest,  receiving stolen property, obstruction of justice, as well as fleeing and eluding. Smith is  currently in the Jefferson County Jail.
