Weirton sex offender charged with failure to register

WHEELING, W.Va. -- A sex offender who moved from Pennsylvania to West Virginia has been indicted in federal court for failing to register.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that Charles R. Lundis, age 64, of Weirton was charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Lundis faces up to 10 years in prison. He has a prior conviction for rape in Pennsylvania and is alleged to have failed to register as a sex offender after he moved to West Virginia in 2013.
This case was investigated by the United States Marshals Service and the West Virginia State Police. The case will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen L. Vogrin.
