HANCOCK COUNTY, W.Va. --

A Weirton mother accused of setting her daughter's mobile home on fire is set to undergo psychological evaluation.

Brenda Sue Boyer remains in jail on charges of first-degree arson.

The charge stems from a fire at her daughter's Weirton home in June 2013.

Boyer's attorney confirmed with NEWS9 that Boyer will undergo the evaluation at the end of October to determine if she is competent to stand trial.

A Hancock County judge set her trial date for Nov. 22.
