Police are searching for the person who burglarized a Wheeling pool hall.

The crime happened around 2:45 a.m. Sunday at the Corner Pocket Billiards and Cafe on McCulloch Street.

According to owner Jay Davis, a man threw a rock to break open the back door and enter the business.

The burglar allegedly stole thousands of dollars inside the cash register and cash box. He also caused significant damage to the building, and Davis estimated the damage to be around $6,000 to $7,000 total.

Wheeling police are reviewing the surveillance video and looking for the person or people responsible.
