A local superintendent got the chance to showcase his district in Columbus last week during an educational conference. And in Carroll County the district is on the cutting edge for Ohio education.

The education panel was formed to discuss the future of Ohio education and specifically the Straight A grants Gov. John Kasich awarded at the end of last year.

It was televised on public access in Columbus and featured Carrollton School District Superintendent David Quattrochi.

The Carrollton School District will focus its efforts to science, math, engineering and technology with the grant they received from the state.

It is a long process but one that Quattrochi hopes will pay off.
